Semiconductors are widely used as their characteristics are helpful for almost every electric system. There is an ability to convert almost every kind of energy into electric power by mans of semiconductors. Heat and cold may be produced by some types of semiconductors. Semiconductors perform the basic functions in many different devices: atomic batteries, quantum generators, processors and even simple radio receivers. Almost every engineer who works in company connected to electricity should know how significant the voltage sensors are. The mass and overall dimensions of semiconductor devices are considerably smaller than their tube analogues. The analogue systems are not equal if we talk about their reliability and power. Tube drops behind. From day to day we may hear about some modern inventions which help people to have more conveniences or even save the life.
