5 During pregnancy, the intake of drugs like valium should be avoided as it increases the possibilities of various congenital malformations or abnormalities such as cleft palate, encephalopathy etc.
6 The drug may cause respiratory problems, feeding difficulties, hypothermia in the newborn child.
7 During delivery, the dosage of the drug should be taken care off as the single higher dose of the drug causes various types of irregularities in the heart rate and hypotonia.
