Air tour has always been one of greatest achievements of human beings of all times. Today, airplanes flood the sky, transporting passengers and fly from a point to point, across continents and oceans in order to get to their destination safely and quickly.

Some things should be taken into account to make an aircraft fly. First speed is significant, as when n airplane stands it cannot fly. Together with speed goes air-friction that produces lift and consequently the airplane flies. Helicopters produce lift by quick moving propellers that eliminate the necessity for a fast movement of the whole machine.

But another idea has been implemented that may lift a plane in the air. It is so-called an airship, also popular as a zeppelin. These items embraced the idea of lighter-than-air to lift the entire ensemble off the ground.

A zeppelin is dissimilar than a helicopter or an airplane as they do not utilize lift for getting off the ground. In its place, they fill a great cavity with such lifting gas as hot air or helium, this turns the ship much lighter than air, and it is lifted off the ground.

The earliest controlled powered flight was succeeded with a zeppelin. They were utilized extensively before the WWII, but their fame declined after the planes’ capabilities prevailed over the ones of zeppelins.
