Window blinds have only come into popularity in the last quarter of a century or so. Their uncommon appearance can also be a great way to bring a little something extra to a room with a more traditional focus.

Window shutters are more expensive than window blinds, not only because of the cheaper materials that are usually used in the construction of window blinds, but also because window shutters are usually made to order. Window shutters are designed to fit your window just right, so there are no standard sizes and none of the overlapping that can often occur with window blinds, which don’t need to be exactly fitted to your window.

The biggest difference between window blinds and window shutters is really in the taste of the individual. If you want a more contemporary feel, then there is a huge range of window blinds out there for you to choose from.
