The capital of Hungary is fast becoming one of Europe's most popular destinations. Either side of the river Danube lie the historic Buda, or the cosmopolitan centre of bars, restaurants and shopping that is Pest - combining as an intoxicating mix for a superb stag weekend. Why not visit this vibrant, exciting city before the hoards of tourists descend to make it another crowded Paris. Whatever you have planned, Budapest is so diverse that you will always find something to do in this "Paris of the East". Whether it's drinking and eating at one of the many ludicrously cheap city bars, relaxing out the morning after in one of the 123 registered thermal baths or simply looking around Buda's stunning castle - this Eastern European giant never sleeps. So prepare for a trip of sights, sun and memorable stories to tell. Just remember to book your Monday off work. Its always best to plan ahead. Budapest in a nutshell: - Weekend on a budget? No problem. Drink beer for 80p, and dine for less than a fiver, - Soak up the rays with some of the highest summer temperatures in Europe. - Adventure sports, rally driving and karting in the Pilis Mountains. You may want to lay off the lager beforehand though.
