But as I, previously said, you didn't expect this kind of punch-line. Remember this good, because it is a basic principle of the way humor works. You should create the best possible setup, as it's really important. Good comedians will always have a setup that only delivers the basic facts, so that there are many possible punch-lines you can think of. The more you are convinced, the more you will laugh after hearing the punch line. If you know the joke, you won't find it funny anymore, because you brain won't be making any new connections as you know the punch-line.
